Wineus advised Swiss Medical Network SA as buy-side adviser on the acquisition of Klinik Pyramide am See AG and Rosenklinik AG
Swiss Medical Network SA (Swiss Medical Network), Switzerland’s second-largest private hospital group, takes over the remaining 60 percent of the shares of Rosenklinik AG (Rosenklinik) and 80 percent of the shares of Klinik Pyramide am See AG (Klinik Pyramide).
Klinik Pyramide, previously owned by a small group of private medical professionals, who founded the clinic in 1993 in Zurich, focuses on specific surgical fields and is considered a pioneer among private clinics. The two parties have been linked by a strategic partnership since 2011 when Swiss Medical Network acquired an initial 20 percent of Klinik Pyramide. Rosenklinik, a private clinic located in Rapperswil, founded in 1995 by Marcel Jud and Martin Pfister, specializes in orthopedics, urology and neurosurgery. In spring 2019, Swiss Medical Network acquired an initial 40 percent of Rosenklinik. By fully integrating the two flagship clinics, Swiss Medical Network is expanding their range of services and thus their position in private medicine within the greater Zurich area. Klinik Pyramide and Rosenklinik can contribute their strength to an established network and benefit from additional synergies of various group clinics in the region.
Wineus successfully managed the entire buy-side process on behalf of Swiss Medical Network.
