Wineus successfully advised Swiss Medical Network Holding SA on the acquisition of Spital Zofingen AG
The acquisition of Spital Zofingen marks a pivotal milestone in Swiss Medical Network’s strategy for growth and the development of integrated healthcare in Switzerland.
Through a share exchange agreement, Swiss Medical Network Holding SA has acquired 100% of Spital Zofingen AG from Kantonsspital Aarau AG (KSA). This transaction establishes a strategic partnership between Swiss Medical Network and KSA, aiming to address the evolving challenges of the healthcare system while maintaining high-quality, accessible care for the population.
Spital Zofingen, a well-established regional hospital, employs 770 professionals and generates an annual revenue of approximately CHF 100 million. As part of Swiss Medical Network’s Mittelland region, Spital Zofingen will complement the network’s existing facilities, which include four hospitals and several outpatient centres. This integration not only leverages valuable synergies but also enhances the existing range of services with additional areas such as acute and geriatric care.
Wineus has acted as the exclusive buy-side advisor and successfully managed the entire transaction process.
